Jordy Babineaux,

Owner/Managing Member Professional Geoscientist

Jordy Babineaux is a Professional Geoscientist (Louisiana P.G. #958) with a strong background in environmental geology, site assessment, and regulatory compliance. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2008 and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2015. During his graduate studies, he interned as a geologist with McMoRan and Chevron.

Jordy began his career with Approach Environmental in 2009, returning after graduate school in 2015. Over the years, he has developed expertise in soil and groundwater sampling, aerial photo interpretation, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, geological mapping (GIS and CAD), and environmental database analysis. He is also a certified NORM surveyor in Louisiana and has specialized knowledge in electromagnetic surveys for detecting subsurface contamination and buried materials.

His project experience spans multiple states including Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas, with work involving commercial, agricultural, oil and gas, and industrial sites. Jordy has also played a key role in permitting commercial saltwater disposal wells in Louisiana, gaining valuable experience in regulatory interpretation, permitting, and agency negotiation.

In 2025, Jordy became Co-Owner of Approach Environmental, where he continues to apply his technical expertise and regulatory insight to support clients across the Gulf South.
