Jordy Babineaux,

MS, PG

Jordy Babineaux graduated from LSU (Baton Rouge) in 2008, with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geology. Jordy has worked as an Environmental Geologist with Approach from August 2009 until May 2013 and since September 2015. From May 2013 through August 2015, Jordy earned his Master of Science (M.S.) in Geology from the University of Louisiana- Lafayette, LA and interned as a geologist with McMoran and Chevron. Jordy is a Professional Geoscientist (Louisiana P.G. #958 since 2016) and is also a certified NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials) surveyor in Louisiana.

Through his experience, Jordy has developed expertise m aerial photograph interpretations, soil and groundwater sampling for a wide range of chemical constituents in many settings, including commercial properties, agriculture, waste disposal facilities, UST and AST facilities, and oil and gas E&P facilities/properties. Further, Jordy has gained valuable understanding for analytical data and environmental database evaluations and interpretations. Jordy has become proficient in geological mapping via use of computer drafting and GIS.

Jordy's experience includes participation and completion of Phase I and Phase II ESAs including field work, database research, and technical report preparation. Through the years, Jordy has developed geological expertise in field investigations, analytical data interpretation and evaluation according to various state risk rules and requirements, geological and contaminant mapping, technical report preparation, and regulatory interpretations. Jordy has also developed expertise in the use and interpretation of electromagnetic surveys for buried metal objects (drums, piping, etc.) or saltwater contaminated soils. Jordy has performed geological evaluations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.

Jordy has worked extensively with permitting projects in Louisiana for commercial saltwater disposal wells in Louisiana. Through these projects, Jordy has gained valuable experience in regulatory interpretation, negotiation, permitting and application.
